Steaming Open Day
19th November @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

The Prince Consort Engine will be in Steam.
Visit the 3 listed buildings and see our four Victorian beam engines, one of which will be working. See “The Great Stink” exhibition and learn about the Victorian sewer system which continues to serve the capital.
There is an admission charge for this event :
Age 16 and over – £18.00, Age 5-15 – £4.00, Under 5 free.
Light refreshments will be available and the shop will offer some interesting items for sale. Families can join the learning team for a free Make and Take craft activity and explore the Crossness site with our children’s activity trail.
Our car park is about 600m from the main building: the Narrow Gauge Railways will be running to bring you to the main site and blue badge holders will be able to park much closer to the building. If you travel by public transport we are quite remote so it may be worth getting a taxi. Nearest station is Abbey Wood on the Elizabeth Line. You can also reach us via the Thames Path – our gate to the path will be open for our Open Day.
Last entry is 14.30pm, buildings close at 15.00 with car-park closing at 15.30pm.
If we can’t run the Prince Consort Engine for any reason, we will do our best to let you know in advance.
