One of four beam engines: long-term volunteer restoration in progress.

About this project

Victoria is one of the four beam engines in the Grade I listed Beam Engine House. Volunteers are restoring it piece by piece, using skills and experience built up during earlier work at Crossness.

While Prince Consort is scheduled to steam on advertised open days, Victoria remains the focus of a long restoration. Progress is measured in components, not headlines.
